Who is this program for?

This is for young people that enjoy soccer, but do not want soccer to be their main focus. Specifically, the program is designed for players who are looking to improve their technical skills in preparation for MS and HS soccer in a fun learning environment.

What is the goal of the program?

To provide an opportunity for young people who enjoy soccer, and give them the opportunity to improve within the game under less time commitments and costs. The ideal participant is one that wishes to improve technically to positively impact their HS and MS programs.
Recreational teams play and practice once a week at the discretion of the volunteer coach. Most games are played on Saturdays. A tentative schedule is below. 

How often is training?

One to Two sessions per week of hour to hour and a half time frames.

Who will conduct the training?

Training for all WNFC recreational teams  are under the direction of volunteer coaches, who receive training from WNFC’s DOC.

What does the program cost? And what does that include?

$78 includes: coaching, facility rental, insurance, player registration and jersey. 

Can players play other sports?

Absolutely!! Please just communicate conflicts with coaches as well in advance as possible so coaches can plan accordingly.  

What is the time frame for the program?

Training would begin in August to prepare for fall seasonal play. The season usually lasts through October.

June 2-9th:  Select team meetings and evaluations (this is a mandatory week for all coaches)

July 7th: Rec teams finalized Select team coaches meeting

July 21st: Select team can begin practice

July 22nd and 24th  Rec coaches training/meeting.

July 28th first day of rec practice

August 9th: Local Tournament 

August 15-16th:  Select weekend: Denver

August 23rd: Rec game day 

August 30th: Rec game day

September 5th-7th: Select weekend Casper

September 13h : Rec game day Picture day

September 20th : Rec game day Picture day

September 27th: Rec game day

October 4th: Rec game day

October 10th-12th:  Select Weekend Gillette/Columbus/Omaha/Lincoln

October 13-18th: Panhandle Cup tournament

October 24th-26th: Select weekend Rapid City

Select (Travel) Program, NOTE: THIS IS A TRAVEL PROGRAM THAT COMPETES IN REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS. If you do not intend to travel with our select program please register for our recreational league.
 
Who is this program for?

This is for young people that enjoy soccer, and want to dedicate more time to competitive soccer. Specifically, the program is designed for players who are looking to improve their technical skills in preparation for tournaments throughout the region in a competitive atmosphere.

What is the goal of the program?

To provide an opportunity for young people who enjoy soccer, and give them the opportunity to improve within the game in a competitive atmosphere. The ideal participant is one that wishes to improve technically to positively impact their HS and MS programs.
Select teams will participate in tournaments and competitions throughout the region. A tentative schedule is attached below. 

How often is training? What is the time commitment?

Training schedules will be at the discretion of the assigned select coach. WNFC participates in 4 outdoor and 3 indoor tournaments. Training begins in mid-July. Our outdoor season ends in October, our indoor season generally runs in January and February.

Who will conduct the training? 

Training for all WNFC Select teams sessions are under the direction of our select team coaches, who receive training from WNFC’s DOC.

What does the program cost? And what does that include?

The standard club fee is $78. In addition to the club fee you can expect to pay $100 for your kit which rotates every 2 years. It is currently a kit ordering year. Your over all expenses will be determined by how many tournaments you attend, usually tournaments fees range from $50-$80. Additional travel and lodging fees apply as well. We offer payment plans as well as volunteer opportunities to cover fees.

This is a supplemental program for young people that want to dedicate the offseason to improvement. Specifically, the program is designed for players who are looking to improve their technical skills in preparation for tournaments throughout the region in a competitive atmosphere.

What is the goal of the program?

To provide an opportunity for young people who enjoy soccer, and give them the opportunity to improve within the game in a competitive atmosphere. The ideal participant is one that wishes to improve technically to positively impact their HS and MS programs.
Select teams indoor will participate in tournaments and competitions throughout the region. A tentative schedule is attached below. 

How often is training? What is the time commitment?

Training schedules will be at the discretion of the assigned select coach. WNFC participates in 3 indoor tournaments. Training begins in December and runs into February.

Training for all WNFC selects teams sessions are under the direction of our select team coaches, who receive training from WNFC’s DOC.

In addition to the club fee you can expect to pay $100 for your kit (already purchased if you played outdoor), which rotates every 2 years. It is currently a kit ordering year. Tournament and equipment fees run $150. Additional travel and lodging fees apply as well. We offer payment plans as well as volunteer opportunities to cover fees.
