Here are WNFC’s most frequently asked questions:

What does it cost?

Please see our 2026 price sheet at the bottom of this page for registration fees and kits.

There are costs beyond registration, however. These costs vary per family and/or player. These costs may include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleats
  • Shin guards
  • Soccer socks
  • Athletic clothing
  • Soccer ball
  • Water bottle
  • Travel for Select families
    • Fuel
    • Lodging
    • Food
Are shin guards required for all ages?

YES! All of our players, rec and select, of ANY age are required to wear shin guards. Players are required to wear shin guards at all times. This includes practices and matches.

As a member of the WSA, their rules and procedures state on page 15:

     15) LAW IV – PLAYERS’ EQUIPMENT

     c) All players shall wear shin guards. Knee-high stockings shall be worn over and shall cover the shin guards.

What programs does WNFC offer?

We have two programs:

  1. Recreational (Rec)
  2. Select
What is Select?

Select is our travel, competitive soccer program. Teams travel primarily through Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota. There is further information on our Select page: https://westernnebraskafc.com/wnfc-select-travel-information/

Does WNFC have spring soccer?

At this time, WNFC does not offer a spring rec soccer program.

Our select teams are allowed to compete in tournaments with the WNFC’s Board approval.
